Process of a quality sign

We have made the process of choosing the appropriate and most attractive sign for your needs as simple as possible.

To provide minimal surface contaminants and ultimate primer adhesion, all steel weldments are sandblasted with foundry sand. The entire structure and cabinet is subsequently cleansed with an acid and a detergent followed by a water rinse. Equally extraordinary is the process of priming and painting the cabinets, component parts and structural members separately prior to assembly. To enhance luster, abrasion resistance and minimize airborne contaminants inherent to conventional paint curing, we thermally cure or bake the painted units at 180°. After the priming and additionally after the topcoat process, a minimum of a three-point electronic mil test is conducted and recorded on every sign. Further, we conduct a physical scribe test in an inconspicuous area to assure sound adhesion. Many companies can paint to satisfy initial appearances. Experience and market expectations of longer paint durability prompted us to invest recently in such an elaborate and meticulous finish process including certifying our staff painters. Accessories such as cowlings are also subject to this post primer and paint assembly process. We utilize the premium PPG Delta™ graffiti resistant industrial paint line that allows graffiti to be wiped off even after curing.

Knowledgeable Help Desk service coordinators are thoroughly familiar with service agreement options, ordering parts, shipping, receiving, Return Material Authorization (RMA) processing and accessing account status information.

NETSM Service

Enhancing the depth and breadth of Daktronics service offerings is the support of our Nationwide Electronic Technical (NETSM) Service. Daktronics NET Service offers nationwide service with tecnicians trained to service Daktronics products. Daktronics has the resources to take responsibility for your display operation and service. No matter where your facility is located, Daktronics can provide all levels of on-site service support. Tiered Service Plan In addition to our standard one-year warranty (SL2374), Daktronics offers extended service plans for additional security with the sale of the equipment. As the plan expires, Daktronics renewable maintenance agreement allows customers to continue or expand their coverage on an annual basis. Plans are available to provide technical support both during and after regular working hours.

Operator Seminars/Newsletters

The operator can learn how to program the display effectively at one of Daktronic's many seminars.

Venus Beginner Operator Seminars are held several times throughout the year at Daktronics in Brookings, SD and other U.S. locations. The seminars are held in a classroom atmosphere at individual computer stations. Participants discover basic Venus software techniques and tips including: text messages, combining text with backgrounds, simple animation, drawing tools, scheduling and more.
Bimonthly Daktronics prints and distributes a newsletters to system operators. Newsletters keep operators up-to-date on programing features, tips, shortcuts and animation.

SUPPORT STRUCTURE (11-14)

11. COWLING: Galvanealed steel or heavy gauge aluminum, easily changes sign aesthetics to match the local architecture

12. YOKE: Tubular steel supports cabinet, prevents twisting in high winds

14. BASE PLATES: Welded to legs, these are fastened to the footer with the anchor bolts

FOOTER (15-18)

15. ANCHOR BOLTS: Galvanized steel bolts prevent corrosion

16. REBAR: Attaches to anchor bolts to create a unitized anchoring system

17. CONCRETE FOOTER: Each footer is pre-engineered for size and depth

The Schneider National Sign Corporation warrants the following to the purchaser of a Schneider National Sign Corporation sign, subject to the conditions herein provided:

Sign Structure and Sign: Under normal use and service should the sign structure or identification/changeable copy sign malfunction during the life of the sign due to defects in workmanship or materials, Schneider National Sign Corporation will at its option repair or replace any of the defective materials, (with the exception of lamps and ballasts). Faulty ballasts will be exchanged for new ballasts for a period of three years.

Vandalism to Sign Faces: This Lifetime Warranty also covers the polycarbonate faces against breakage due to vandalism for the life of the sign. Warranty protection does not extend to these surfaces if damaged by gunshots, or when damaged coincident with the destruction of the sign cabinet.

L.E.D. Electronic Display (If Applicable): Schneider National Sign Corporation warrants the L.E.D. Electronic Display to be free from defects in workmanship or materials for a period of two years from the date of shipment. Damage caused by abuse, misuse, misapplication or accidental damage outside of the control of Schneider National Sign Corporation (including lightning), and any consequential or contingent liability is excluded from this warranty. Schneider National Sign Corporation will, at its option, repair or replace the malfunctioning or defective part(s) when authorized by the Customer Support Department.

Additional Warranty Terms: This warranty covers normal use and service. Warranty claims must be registered with Schneider National Sign Corporation within thirty (30) days of damage or malfunction. Schneider National Sign Corporation reserves the right to visit the site of the installation or to require documentation of the claim before assuming any responsibility under the provisions of this warranty. Damaged or defective parts will be covered under this warranty however, removing and reinstalling these parts is the responsibility of the owner.

Schneider National Sign Corporation assumes no liability for damage caused by careless handling or poor installation except for work completed by employees or agents of Schneider National Sign Corporation.

Service to a damaged or malfunctioning sign, which has not been ordered or authorized by Schneider National Sign Corporation’s Customer Support Department, is not covered under this warranty.

In the event the sign is damaged during shipping it is the responsibility of the buyer to refuse delivery causing the sign to be returned to the manufacturer for repair or replacement.

The foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties whether written, oral, or implied (including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for purpose).
